Well, sort of.
I was so intrigue about Tokyo Tokyo’s Cucumber Lemonade I made my own version. Thank you google for the recipe. Lols.
Initially, I want it for the little kid as I’ve been following Healthy Baby Foods Ideas PH founder Bem Chua in IG. She’s been making healthy juices and foods for her child, Sage. And since Jhia likes cucumber, I thought she’d like the juice as well. Thus, the experiment.
So here’s to my FIRST EVER recipe post.
1 piece Cucumber, peeled and sliced into chunks
1 piece Lemon
3 tbsp Muscovado*
(ang hirap pala magsulat ng recipe)
- Blend 2 cups of water and the cucumber. Pour it in a jar after. Use a strainer to separate the pulp.
- Get the lemon juice using a juicer.
- Combine the cucumber juice and the lemon juice. Add two cups of water and muscovado.
- For a more refreshing feels, add ice or store in the fridge before serving.
*You may use white sugar or Honey so as to retain the color of the cucumber. Mine turned brown because I used Muscovado that’s why it looked like an Iced Tea.
Unfortunately, Jhia didn’t like it. Haha. Huhu. Maybe because it became a little sour with the lemon and she doesn’t like sour at all. Hehe.
Anyway, I’ll try some fruit smoothies again next time. Hoping she’ll like even some of it! Haha.
PS. I saw some post about Cucumber-lemon water. You just put a slice of cucumber and lemon into the water then drink it. I honestly just want to try drinking something aside from lemon. Not to mention cucumber is my favorite, too. 🙂 These two has a lot of health benefits so you should try, too.
