Homecoming

What’s keeping me busy lately?

Ate’s home.

And yes, it’s only been three days but the world seemed like it has turned upside down..like ate’s been here for a month already. Kagulo, mga besh! And we’re just at the beginning. Oh my! Haha.

Ate and Renz (his youngest son) arrived at Wednesday morning. We picked them up at the airport sleepless so both me and the mister were a little bangag. Haha. The little kid nursed at half past one then cried again at past two leaving me with only a two-hour sleep. The mister, however, slept two hours more than I did.

Anyway, we arrived home around 8am. The first thing we did was to have breakfast as we were all starving. Then ate started overhauling the house. LOL. Believe it, she cleaned the whole house! Walang jetlag jetlag! Walang antok antok! Walis dun, punas dito. Ligpit dito, tapon dun. Nawindang talaga pati ata buong Sunshine Ville! Si mister nga at si Jhia, in millenial term, na-shookt!

She’s always been like that. Ipinanganak yata syang kakambal ang walis at basahan. We knew she’s going to do that and we’ve all preapared ourselves, kaya nga walang naglinis bago sya dumating. Alam na namin ang routine nya e. Only Jhia and the mister were not-so prepared. Haha. It’s the little kid’s first time to meet her and the mister’s second. Ate’s already in the US when the mister and I met.

Si ate talaga yung nagpalaki saken. I grew up with her and sans. Sila yung nag-alaga, nagbantay, nagpaligo, lahat halos sa akin. They had their own families when I was young, kaya lagi akong napagkakamalang panganay nilang anak. When she migrated to the US, lagi akong may damit, sapatos, bag sa kanya. At kung ano ano pa! Ayun lang, the down side of it is syempre, medyo bantay sarado lang naman ako sa kanya. Haha. ‘Medyo’ kasi nasa ibang bansa naman siya. Haha. So I’m passing her the crown. Si Jhia na ang tagapagmana. Siya na ang prinsesa. We don’t spend too much on Jhia because almost every thing she needs, ate will provide. Every accessories and all the girly stuffs, ate will buy them all for her. Her dresses, shooes, accessories, sometimes even foods, galing lahat kay ate! Ganun niya kami kamahal. If she can’t buy it there, she’ll send us money para kami ang bumili dito, even when we refused to. Every time din na magpapadala siya ng para kay kuya (her eldest son), laging meron si Jhia. We used to joke the boxes she’s sending are all for the little kid. Well, the truth is, she went home to see my daughter. If not for her, she won’t be here.

After she cleaned the house, we went straight to the mall. Sabi nya, she’s only going for the currency exchange. We ended up buying stuffs also so nag-ikot ikot pa talaga kami. Grabehan to si ‘day! Parang hindi nakakaramdam ng pagod.

The next day (yesterday) was her birthday. They went to the market early in the morning, then we headed to the grocery in the afternoon Syempre, nagpaluto ang lola niyo because it’s her birthday! Ang daming foods, beshy. Kung pwede lang, ininvite na kita! (Kaso di mo naman alam tong bahay. hehe) It was a happy day. Lels.

Today, she was scheduled for a dentist appointment for she’d been crying over a toothache for quite a long tie now. Actually, it’s also one reason she went back home. Haha.

We still have three more weeks with them here. Three long weeks more. Haha. May taga-linis. In fact, I heard her say again ‘bantayan mo nalang si Jhia’ haha. Charot! But just to give you a little background, when we were studying, she’ d always say na sya na bahalang maglinis/magligpit ng kinainan/maghugas ng pinggan basta mag-aral nalang daw kami. Oha! Obsess nga te sa housekeeping! Anyway, we’re set to go out of town in the next weekends but still no idea where to go. Any suggestion? Yung afford lang po. Haha. We’re still working on our itinerary.

So to my friends who can read this, sorry but I have to cancel all our appointments for the rest of the month. Have to give way to our lakads with my sister. I know you understand naman. Haha.

Kainan talaga.
